The Drift Protocol exploiter, who stole over $270M, deposited another 24,885 $ET
Wallets tied to the April Drift Protocol exploit deposited another 24,885 ETH (about $61.3 million) into Tornado Cash within roughly one hour, according to on-chain monitor Ember (余烬), bringing the attacker's two-day total to 50,595 ETH (about $122 million). The exploiter-linked addresses still held 56,569 ETH, worth roughly $139 million, after the transfers. The funds are now passing through a mixer designed to break the on-chain link between deposit and withdrawal addresses, making tracing harder for investigators and reducing the likelihood that affected Drift users recover the stolen assets. The reported loss figures vary by source: the headline cites over $270 million, while reporting on the April 1 hack puts losses at about $295 million, which DefiLlama ranks as the year's third-largest crypto heist. Some trackers recorded a two-day total of 44,510 ETH (about $109 million), including 18,800 ETH (about $46 million) transferred on Wednesday, a figure that differs from the 50,595 ETH cited by Ember.

Drift-Linked Wallet Sends $54.8 Million in ETH to Tornado Cash
Wallets tied to the April 1 Drift Protocol exploit moved 25,700 ETH — about $61.56 million at current prices, the figure reported in the source body, while the headline cited $54.8 million — into the mixer Tornado Cash in batches over roughly two hours on Tuesday. The addresses had been inactive for about two months before the transfers. The deposits are the second known mixing round by the exploiter, after about 23,095 ETH was sent to Tornado Cash on July 23 and 24, and they move a large part of the unrecovered haul further from recovery as Drift's DFX recovery pool pays early claimants roughly a penny per dollar of verified loss. Arkham Intelligence data shows the deposits arrived in batches of 100 ETH — about $237,800 each — plus smaller 10 ETH chunks, sizes that match the mixer's fixed deposit pools. After the transfers, the 71 addresses tracked under the attacker entity still held 81,454 ETH, worth roughly $198.58 million, plus about $561,600 in USDT, USDC, Solana and USDY.
