⚡️Ripple Prime launches RWA perpetual contracts for institutional clients, covering more than 100 markets
Ripple's prime brokerage arm Ripple Prime is rolling out real-world asset (RWA) perpetual contracts to institutional clients, covering more than 100 reference markets including stocks, indices, ETFs and commodities, according to a Bloomberg report dated Oct. 15. The contracts are offered through Trade.xyz on Hyperliquid and support shared margin across positions, extending Ripple Prime's earlier opening of crypto perpetual trading to clients. Ripple Prime International CEO Michael Higgins said the arrangement can help institutions improve capital efficiency and position management. Clients can pair the perpetual contracts with the underlying assets for basis trades or use them for directional exposure, including during traditional market closures and weekends. Higgins also said traditional hedge funds are "very close" to directly participating in tokenized RWA markets, with the key being infrastructure that meets their counterparty and anti-money-laundering requirements. Over the past year, open interest in RWA perpetual contracts across major trading venues has grown from near zero to $9 billion, according to the report.

DriveWealth to use Ripple's RLUSD for stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments
DriveWealth, a brokerage-as-a-service platform, announced a partnership with Ripple to integrate blockchain capabilities — stablecoin settlement, payments, custody and prime brokerage — into its global investment infrastructure. The collaboration focuses first on integrating Ripple's stablecoin infrastructure in Europe, with plans to extend to the United States and other markets. DriveWealth supplies API-based trading infrastructure to banks, fintechs, broker-dealers and consumer brands, so the tie-up would push an existing enterprise stablecoin into brokerage settlement and cross-border funding rails if implemented. The arrangement was announced as a plan rather than a completed integration. The stated scope includes access to Ripple Payments to streamline cross-border fund inflows, digital asset custody in Europe with later expansion to other markets, and exploration of institutional business such as equities financing through Ripple Prime. No timeline, transaction volumes or commercial terms were disclosed.

Brevan Howard to use Ripple Prime for multi-asset brokerage, clearing and financing
Ripple Prime will provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by Brevan Howard, a global investment manager with about $35 billion in assets, the firms said in a Tuesday announcement. The expanded agreement gives Brevan Howard access to Ripple Prime's services across traditional and digital asset markets. The deal deepens Ripple's existing relationship with a major macro hedge fund and expands Ripple Prime's institutional client base beyond its own expansion financing. Brevan Howard chief operating officer Alan McGroarty said the need for institutional-quality digital asset infrastructure is growing as digital and traditional markets become more interconnected. The agreement builds on an existing relationship: Brevan Howard-affiliated funds took part in a $500 million investment in Ripple in 2025 that valued the company at $40 billion. Brevan Howard serves global clients including sovereign wealth funds, corporate and public pension plans, foundations and endowments.
