Current outcome
World has open-sourced ProveKit, its client-side zero-knowledge identity proving toolkit built in Rust with WebAssembly bindings. ProveKit has already been used in production by World ID since April. This gives identity and privacy developers access to a production-tested toolkit that can generate and verify zero-knowledge proofs directly on users' devices, without trusted setups or server round-trips. It lowers the barrier to building private 'proof of human' systems on the web and in Web3 applications. The toolkit bundles a prover, verifier, and circuit compiler into a single lightweight package, and can turn a Noir circuit into a verifiable WHIR proof. Verification is supported locally, in a Rust service, in the browser, on iOS or Android, or on-chain via a Groth16 recursive verifier.
